Weeds vs. Invasive Weeds
A weed is any unwanted plant that interferes with the management objectives for a particular site, whereas an invasive weed is one that has, or will have, a substantial negative impact on the environment or the economy. Invasive weeds are typically not indigenous to the United States, and in some cases, have taken over large tracts of pasture and rangeland in states like Utah, Colorado, and California.
